I’m delighted to be exhibiting at the National Honey Show from Thursday 22 October to Saturday 24 October.

Come and visit my stand where I’ll be selling my two illustrated children’s books, Betsie Valentine and the Honeybees and Betsie Valentine and the Honourable Honeybee — heart-warming stories that blend imagination with gentle learning about honeybees.

I’ll also be introducing the final book in the series, The Honeybees of Hope, where Betsie takes a life-changing trip to Uganda and discovers how honeybees bring hope, kindness, and new beginnings to poor communities.

My books are perfect for bee lovers, nature lovers, and environmentally curious minds of all ages.

You can also book me to come and give honeybee talks to your school or the community groups you belong to.

My stand features a relaxing colouring table where children and adults can enjoy mindful bee-themed colouring and enter a free competition to win a signed print by the wonderful illustrator, Tegan Sharrard.

MONMOUTH BEE FESTIVAL

Monmouth Bee Festival 2027

I'm delighted to have been invited back to the Monmouth Bee Festival to give a series of talks about the wonderful world of honeybees.

As well as sharing the secrets of life inside the hive, I'll be signing and selling my books, chatting about beekeeping, and celebrating these remarkable insects that do so much for our planet.

The festival is also a wonderful opportunity to learn more about the incredible work of Bees for Development, the charity that helps communities around the world improve their lives through sustainable beekeeping.

If you love bees, nature, books, or simply a good day out, do come along and join us as we celebrate honeybees and the people whose lives they help to transform.

  • Significance: It serves as a major community, educational, and fundraising event for Bees for Development.

I will be giving a talk about the secret life of our wonderful honeybebees and selling signed copies of my books - @ 1:00pm and 3:00pm

Come and say hello!

I’ll be joining the wonderful Chalfont Beekeepers Society on their stand, chatting all things honeybees with curious children and grown-ups alike!

Whether you’ve always wondered what goes on inside a hive, want to learn more about our amazing pollinators, or simply fancy a bee-themed chat, we’d love to see you.

We’ll also have our much-loved observation hive — always a real favourite with visitors — giving you the chance to safely see honeybees up close and watch them going about their busy lives. Fascinating for children and adults alike!

You’ll be able to buy delicious local honey and a variety of bee-related products lovingly produced by our beekeepers — and, of course — signed copies of my children’s books will be available too!

It promises to be a lovely, buzzy day!

Come and join me and the wonderful Chalfont Beekeepers at the fabulous Hyde Heath Fête!

There will be so many amazing stalls to explore, delicious treats to enjoy, and wonderful things to see and do for the whole family.

But… don’t forget to visit our stand!

We’ll be selling delicious local honey from across the Chalfonts, along with beeswax wraps, candles, wax products, and lots of lovely honeybee-inspired goodies.

We’ll also have a real observation hive, where you can see the bees hard at work and even try to spot the queen!

Our friendly volunteer beekeepers will be there all day to chat about honeybees, beekeeping, pollination, and the fascinating world of the hive.

And of course… I’ll be there too with my children’s books, which I’ll be delighted to sign for you. They make a lovely gift for any child who loves nature, animals, adventure, and honeybees.

And honestly? I never tire of talking about honeybees!

We can’t wait to see you there!

SOUTH WEST SHROPSHIRE GARDENING CLUB

March 26th… somehow has a lovely ring to it. It makes you truly feel like spring is under way. The queen will be laying again, after the long winter months, and the new generation is on its way. I love talking about honeybees any time, any place, anywhere…. but early spring is just a little bit special as we all come out of the dark and into the light! I’m sure the members of this club are feeling the same as they see the wonderful flowers popping their heads out towards the spring sunshine… whoopee!

Booked a year ago to the date on a balmy September afternoon. All the supers have been removed and honey spun. Bees are feasting on the Autumn Ivy preparing themselves for the winter months ahead. Very much looking forward to meeting these ladies!
