Having gone to Yarpole, to stay with my sister for the weekend, we embarked on a visit to the beautiful market town of Ludlow and its castle with our grandchildren. 

I feel like Pinocchio when he suddenly turns in to a boy and he says "I'm a boy!" and then the disappointment when he turns back in to a puppet!

Yesterday I was invited to Broughton Community Infant School to watch their end of term musical.  It was absolutely wonderful.

October 24th 2017.  I am having lunch in the Cafe Bean in Aylesbury with Colin, we have just finished our stint at Singing For The Brain in Aylesbury and waiting to go on to sing at Kent House. 

I decided, instead of constantly borrowing the club's virtual hive for my tour of the schools, which means endless journeys to and fro picking up and returning it to wherever it is resting, to create my own. 

We welcomed Meriet Duncan as part of an educational programme aimed at schools in the UK raising awareness for the protection of Bees while learning French.

On 10th February 2017 I posted this image as my cover photo on Facebook.  It was as a result of listening to a Ted talk on You Tube about a woman of 60 who, against the advice of everyone, decided to follow her dream and swim across the Atlantic Ocean.

So far this year I have been struggling with my bees.  I am not alone, I am pleased to say, which is of some comfort to a beekeeper as it can become very disheartening when you are trying your hardest and doing everything you think you should be doing and you end up with one fairly strong hive, two weak ones and no queens.
